Glass Bracelet
Gold Stretchy Bracelet
I have very few stretchy bracelets anymore because I lost my favorite stretchy necklace in the airport when it snapped. I just dont trust it, but its great for beginning beaders and is good for bracelets that dont get a lot of wear. Material list as follows:
Clear Stretchy Cord (I like Stretch Magic .5mm) 1 Mixed tube of Brown/Gold approximately 11/0 size seed beads 1 Mixed tube of Brown/Gold approximately 3mm beads 5 7mm Topaz beads with gold accents (rounded ends with raised/fluted middle)
The pattern for this is somewhat freeform so mix up the beads as you go along. String in the following order:
1 3mm bead 7 Seed beads 1 3mm bead 1 7mm bead 1 3mm bead 7 Seed beads 1 3mm bead
Repeat this pattern four more times or as many as suffices for desired completion length.
Tie off the stretchy cord by tying a double knot in the end, but when tying tie first loop in one direction, the next in the opposite. Or another technique is to loop the stretchy twice through when tying each individual knot. A nice trick for stretchy bracelets is to drop a bead of glue onto the knot then stuff it into a bead so that the knot is hidden and protected.
