Glass Bracelet

Light Aqua & Gold Bracelet

You will need to follow my wire wrapping instructions found in my January 2003 Tip of the Month to complete this bracelet.  The finished size of this bracelet is 8 ½”, but you can easily make it longer/shorter by adding/deleting segments.  Material list as follows:

22mm Half Hard Gold Wire

9 – 6mm Light Aqua Fire Polished Round Crystals

4 - 8mm Light Aqua Round Crystals (You could use Fire Polished here as well, but I did not because it seemed a little too glitzy)

8 – 4mm Gold Bali Spacer Beads

6 – 4mm Metal Gold Round Beads

1 – Gold Clasp (mine is hand made with additional gold wire)

1 – Gold Headpin

This bracelet is fairly simple once you have mastered basic wire-wrapping skills.

As you start, you will want to attach your clasp to one of the looped ends of the first link you create.  You will wire wrap the first link (3 wraps per end), then after creating the loop for the second, will attach it to one end link of the first before wrapping the end closed, and so on.  When you reach the final link, include the second half of the clasp in the looped end that is not already attached to the bracelet.  The pattern for each aqua beaded link is as follows:

1 – 6mm Aqua Crystal Bead

1 – Gold Spacer

1 – 8mm Aqua Crystal Bead

1 – Gold Spacer

1 – 6mm Aqua Crystal Bead

The additional links consist of one 4mm round gold bead.  You will alternate between each link type – gold bead then crystal beaded, beginning and ending with a gold bead link.

String the last 4mm round gold and 6mm Aqua Crystal beads onto the headpin.  Create a loop at the top as you would for an earring drop (reference January 2003 tip), and attach to one end of the bracelet where the last loop is attached to the clasp.  You will attach this dangle by twisting open/closed the loop.
