Simple Black Necklaces
These patterns will make two separate necklaces - one 16" and one 18", but can just as easily be made into one necklace. I enjoy wearing one necklace without the other sometimes so I kept them separated.
Supply list 11/0 Black Beads (these usually come in a bundle of strands beaded on thread) 2 - Silver Magnetic Clasps 4 - 6/0 Pearl Finished Beads 1 - 8x8mm Cultured Pearl Bead 1 - Silver Headpin 2 - Silver Crimp Beads (although black crimps would blend nicely) 38-40" Stringing Wire (like Soft Flex or Acculon)
16" Necklace Step One String approximately 6 1/4" of the 11/0 Black beads onto the Stringing Wire. Repeat the following three times: 1 - 6/0 Pearl Bead 3/4" 11/0 Black Beads Step Two Add: 1 - 6/0 Pearl Bead 6 1/4" Black Beads 1 - Crimp Bead Clasp Bend stringing wire around and feed back into crimp bead. Crimp and clip end of stringing wire. Attach clasp to the other end of the necklace and crimp to complete.
18" Necklace Step One Create the pearl drop by stringing one of the 11/0 Black beads, the 8x8mm pearl and another 11/0 Black bead onto the headpin. Create a loop small enough that it will not slip when dangling from the necklace. Step Two String approximately 8 1/2" of the 11/0 Black beads onto the Stringing Wire. Add the Pearl Drop and string an additional 8 1/2" of Black beads. Add crimp and clasp to both ends of the necklace, crimp and snip wire ends to complete.
